Happy Halloween // enjoy fright night

It's Halloween again! Are your ready for this year's fright night? Traditionally October 31 is the day to remember the dead. But nowadays it is a time to dress up and have fun. And we love to see what all our fabric customers are creating this year. Fun pumpkin leggings, black cat dresses. We have seen so many cute designs made with our Little Smilemakers Spoonflower fabric.

And even though this holiday has turned into this crazy dress up party world wide, it is also a day to remember those that passed. Enjoy this joyful holiday, celebrate and remember the life of those whom have passed and left a mark in your life or have influenced your being. Happy Halloween!

New quirky owls baby goods // Kalamati Poland

Once there was a penguin print that ended up being more of an owl design. Still this design is one of my favorite kids prints I have made this year. So of course I was very happy when Kalamati contacted me to purchase the license.

I have been working together with a few different companies in baby and kids textiles this year but this series of products is definitely one of the high lights. Kalamati is a company that specializes in baby and kids goods. As you can see the fabric is not only very handy at home or in your little ones crib but you can also use it outdoors during these last few days of summer. For now this design is only available in Poland and via their website. So if you are in love with this print you will need to hurry up to get yourself one of the blankets of toy animals.

> Spring will kick in soon! Time for some Little Smilemakers Florals!

The past few months have been very busy and productive so there was no time to get some new surface patterns online for stock. After weeks of work i took an afternoon off to design some new spring themed patterns for fabric and stationary. This is a small preview of a series of colorful spring 2013 surface patterns. They will be available in my Designalicious shutterstock portfolio.

> Sinterklaas, zwarte piet and christmas patterns are up!

For most graphic designers that work for commercial products and companies the holiday season starts in the summer. Little Smilemakers Studio is always working six months ahead. To post my new christmas home deco projects and patterns here on the Little Smilemakers blog during the summer feels kinda strange so i always wait till i see a first sign in the shops. I was amazed to see the first signs of our typical Dutch holiday 'Sinterklaas' and 'pepernoten' in my local grocery this week already!

I have been working on several holiday patterns as you can see above. The top pattern was made for a Sinterklaas wrapping paper collection but you can also order this print as online postcard. Could be an invitation for friends to celebrate this holiday together or just a cute note for a Dutch friend or family member overseas. I love the Sinterklaas tradition.

If you would like to send one of those christmas patterns and designs as a merry christmas card to you friends or family just check out my online cards at Kaartje2Go.
