The Lookbook: The Cozy Winter Collection - New Trends Fabric Collection & Surface Designs

Every summer we work on new Christmas & Seasonal designs. They’re always planned 6 months ahead of time so our customers have enough time to license designs and plan their production. This year we didn’t make just one collection but three Christmas collections. The Cozy Winter collection is created for our younger audience. It’s a mix of whimsical winter elements, animals, and botanicals. 

Typical Christmas & Winter themes are covered again this year and for this Cozy collection we selected a neutral palette with a pop of lilac and a hint of vintage. Lilac has been the trending color of the year. And it matches the red and greens of the more traditional palette very wel. The more orange and rust colors give the collection a touch of Seventies. Terracotta is here to stay a little longer too.

We’d love to see these prints being licensed. And can’t wait who’s first to license one of these prints. Pattern designs are now available for single use or, if you’d like to launch a consistent batch of products, you can also license the entire collection at once.

The Lookbook: Animal Abstracts - New animal print fabric trends - Collection available on fabric & for Licensing.

With a new year comes a new batch of designs. We have some new Lookbooks ready. First up is this Animal Print overview. We were inspired about the diversity in the animal kingdom. Each and every animal has it’s own little coat. We created a bunch of new animal prints. Some are easy to recognize but some are a little harder to trace back to a certain animal. But they are all traced back to animal fur.

The animal print trend is still going strong. Shops are filled with wild cats, leopard and cheetah spots. And our clients kept asking us to make new prints. They are on high demand! So we’ve created 18 new designs that are now also available in our Spoonflower shop on fabric and wallpaper. These designs are also available to license non-exclusively.18 new surface patterns all different animals. We have a deer walk by, a snake, some birds. Can you guess what they all are?

The Lookbook: Climbing Lovers - New Trends Fabric Collection & Surface Designs

Any climbing or boulder fans out here? We recently created an entirely new exclusive collection of designs inspired by climbing. There are two types of climbing: bouldering, without a rope. Of with rope. Personally I love bouldering, it's a little more technical in the gym. And well, to be frank, climbing outside is not really an option here in The Netherlands. We live below sea level and there's no such thing as mountains.

But, inspired by my climbing trip to Spain and my weekly bouldering sessions with my climbing buddy, I created a collection of prints. I simply couldn't find any fun print designs covering this niche. They have been popular prints for chalk bags and dog accessories. There are lots of peeps out there with a furry friend climbing mountains! So if you see something you like: these designs are available for licensing. And most of them are available on fabric over at Spoonflower too.

The Lookbook: Flora Botanicals - New Trends Fabric Collection

For all romantics, flora lovers and girly girls! We’ve made a new floral collection that is now available for licensing. This collection is part of our quarterly exclusive series and is available to license as an entire collection or if there’s just one design that catches your eye, they are now available to license as single prints too.

Every season we make a new collection of botanical prints. This new collection was inspired by wildflowers. Don’t you love all the color popping up during spring? The variation of colors and shapes popping up in those green spring fields? This collection is created in neutral tones and therefore suitable to license for both summer and winter projects. These prints make a great base for wallpaper and textiles. And the abstract flowers are perfect for swimwear or woman’s fashion. We are curious to know what you think of the new Flora Pop collection.

The Lookbook: Inky Fall - New Autumn Trends Fabric Collection & Art Licensing 2019

We can't get enough of these long sun-drenched summer days, but fall is around the corner and we even got so far licensing prints for Valentine's Day already! Yikes! Every year when the heatwave hits the studio, we're busy making fall and winter designs. This collection is based on a series of designs we made a couple of years ago. Exclusively for Veritas Benelux.

This collection was made with pages and pages of inked paper. With dry brushes and pencils. The loose abstract shapes and brush strokes were turned into layered illustrative elements such as flowers and trees digitally. Some were made as illustrative shapes right away, like the palm leaves on top. This collection is a mix of fall with a hint of summer. We love dragging summer elements into September! Simply cuz we don't wanna say goodbye to summer just yet. And these new surface designs make perfect fall clothes and swimwear. We already licensed a few of these but all prints shown here are now available in our Spoonflower shop and available for licensing non-exclusively.
