Made with Little Smilemakers Studio Fabric // Top 5 February 2020
It is so exciting to see a finished project after working hard on a new collection of design or a series of illustrations for our clients. But with finished fabric designs it is even a bigger surprise to see what customers create. To see how final products evolve when people put their own creative energy in there is amazing.
If you browse around on Etsy or Instagram for some kids fashion or home decoration you are very likely to stumble upon some Little Smilemakers prints. Most creatives with small home-based businesses sell their projects via the internet and tag us via Instagram. So we see some amazing things pop up in our feed every month. We love how Little Smilemakers creations are the foundation for other creatives all around the world to work with. So here is our monthly blog post that features some creative results from Russia, United States, and the UK. This month we selected a whole bunch of minimal designs in earthy tones which have been growing in popularity. They were turned into the most gorgeous items. This month we had a hard time choosing, there’s so much to choose from! We’ve selected some baby nursery pieces, women fashion creations and dog accessories. Take a look and see if there is something for you in there. This is our February top 5 selection. Enjoy!
1 // Poppy & Ted
For this brand we licensed some really cool minimal designs. Paige has a great eye for stylish minimalist prints and right before Christmas she licensed a bunch of new designs from us which are now available in the new walk and wear collection. Nothing beats a cute customer image featuring these furry creatures. We love how the new prints turned our and wanted to have them featured for this monthly Made with too. But stay tuned, we’ll be writing a little more about Paige and her dog accessories next months when we can show you the entire finished collection. She already has lots of Little Smilemakers pieces available in her shop. So if you can't wait go take a look.
2 // Mjolk
This Russian company specializes in baby nursery textiles and soft baby wear. For three years in a row they added some of our designs to their collection. We wanted to show you how beautiful our cotton balls turned out in their new winter range. Every print they license gets turned into rompers, hats, little mittens to protect you little one from scratching himself during sleepy time, and they have some beautiful blankies made with this print. Stay tuned for more designs, there’s a lot more coming this spring! Curious to see all their products? Take a look at their website.
3 // Sugar & Stone
This January we had another Spoonflower customer request in our inbox. If we could change some colors and add some new leopard designs. Hannah has been busy creating these gorgeous headbands and her business has launched just a few weeks ago. We love seeing what she’s building. Her style is very minimal with a hint of boho and she chooses a earthy neutral palette for her creations. Exactly how we love it! Her baby girl is one of our fave models, so adorable! Wanna see more? Check her shop for all headbands, swaddles and baby accessories.
4 // Learoo
Learoo’s baby textiles are too cute to resist. This LA based company has created some cute little swaddles with our lucky minimal design. They have licensed this design to use on their baby products and we love a cool minimal in rust. Their style is modern, Scandinavian and ahead of the trend. A great company to sell our surface patterns to. Most of our US customers go for bold whimsical designs. Learoo is serving the stylish moms. Finally a brand that dares to be different. Curious to see more. Check their website for all mom & baby products.
